Yuill Herbert

Yuill is a leading sustainability expert. He has pioneered diverse projects related to climate change, green building, lifecycle costing, greenhouse gas assessments, renew­able energy, transportation, and agricultural policy, to name a few. Yuill helped introduce the LEED for Homes rating system to Canada and has co-developed the Integrated Design Process course used throughout Canada and the United States. His extensive policy contributions to all levels of government and high calibre research publications put him at the forefront of sustainability innovation. Yuill’s determination to achieve real sustain­ability at all levels of community plus his comprehensive knowledge of the subject matter ensure project in­novation, integrity and success.

Lindsay Cole


BSc | MA | LEED AP

Lindsay is a veteran of sustainability work in Canada and beyond. Lindsay works with organiza­tions, builders, municipalities and institutions to engrain sustainability frameworks into their projects and operations. She is an expert at developing and analysing sustainability indicators and an experienced facilitator of Integrated Design Processes. Lindsay developed the Campus Sustainability Assessment Framework cur­rently being used to assess and report on sustainability issues, and recommend actions for over 30 Ca­nadian university and college campuses across Canada and the US. For over 8 years, Lindsay has played a leading or support role on over 40 different LEED projects, giving her expertise on the application of LEED to many different project types, climates, and sites.

Jeremy Murphy

Jeremy is an urban planner and sustainability specialist who continues to generate cutting-edge com­munity solutions. Creative public engagement and facilitation, Integrated Design Process delivery, LEED certification, sustainable community design and innovative policy creation are among Jeremy’s greatest skills. His experience with community planning, sustainability expertise, facilitation and sus­tainable building design allow Jeremy to make useful contributions to any project. Jeremy combines big idea sustainability thinking with on the ground application, ensuring his projects are on target, enjoyable and effective.

Geneva Guerin


BA | MArch | LEED AP

Geneva has worked in the field of sustainability for a decade. She has experience coordinating LEED projects, developing and using sustainability indicators, project coordination of multiple teams across large geographic areas, public presentations and trainings on sustainability, and the use of multi-media (video and web) for producing resources and communicating messages. She has a BA in Political Science and Film Production from Concordia University, is a LEED accredited professional and is presently completing a Masters in Architecture and Sustainable Development. She speaks English, French and Spanish and is based in Montreal, QC.

Melissa Garcia-Lamarca


BA | MSc

Melissa has extensive knowledge in ecological economics and sustainability. She has worked in Canada and internationally with governments, universities, non governmental and community o ganizations. She has strong skills constructing and applying sustainability indicators and assessments, facilitating meetings and workshops, and conducting extensive research in a variety of disciplines. Melissa was Concordia University's first Sustainability Coordinator where she established a program to facilitate the creation of a more sustainable institution. She has a BA in Economics, Geography and International Development from McGill, a Graduate Diploma in Community Economic Development from Concordia, and is an MSc candidate in Building and Urban Design in Development at University College London. She speaks English, Spanish and French and is based in Montreal, QC.

Rebecca Foon

Rebecca is an urban planner dedicated to integrating a holistic understanding of sustainability to help shape healthy communities. Her experience includes organizing and facilitating public consultations, conducting energy and water assessments, LEED consulting, and creating sustainability guides for tenants. She has worked on projects as diverse as the development and evaluation of a GIS-based (Geographic Information Systems) neighbourhood quality-of-life monitoring system, consulting for the Discovery Channel urban environment program Wa$ted, and working on a sustainability assessment report for the City of Deux-Montagnes to help guide growth over the long term.

Aaron Foster

Aaron is a LEED accredited professional with varied experience designing and drafting architectural projects, developing campus master plans, coordinating a wide range of professional marketing propos­als and developing graphics for community and client meetings. He has conducted the LEED documen­tation for numerous projects. Aaron embraces a holistic view of sustainability which he applies to all of his projects and explores with his clients.
