Nadia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Concordia University
and a D.E.C. in fine wood-working and architectural carpentry from
l’École du Meuble de Montréal. She has worked on community development
and construction projects in the United States, Guyana and New
Zealand, where limited economic means and the need for reusability
taught her the importance of environmental impacts and maximizing
resources in buildings, and the construction process. Nadia has also
studied and worked in various US states in: eco-construction,
renewable energy, permaculture, residential straw bale, and earthen
construction projects. Nadia is currently working as a consultant and
designer in environmental initiatives relating to the cleantech and
green building industry, the built environment, renewable energy, and
waste reduction and reuse. Additionally, she served as the executive
director for the non-profit Matériaux pour les Arts Montréal; an
organization promoting the transfer and reuse of clean residual waste
and surplus materials from industry, towards the arts and creative
initiatives. Nadia collaborated with SSG as a LEED advisor on a
LEED-CI project for Fidelity Investments. Nadia is based in Montreal,
Quebec.
