Yuill Herbert is a director with SSG. Yuill has worked on sustainability consulting projects in the spheres of community planning, sustainability assessments and green buildings. Major projects include the development of an open source model to evaluate the climate change impacts of municipal plans, the development of a carbon neutral course for Cascadia Green Building Council and a sustainability assessment for Concordia University.
Yuill also helped introduce the LEED for Homes rating system in Canada. Yuill has advised municipal, provincial and federal governments on policies related to sustainability and is active in sustainable development research. Major clients include the Co-operators Insurance Group, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, Discovery Channel and Capital Regional District. Yuill serves as a director of the boards of the Canada Research Chair on Sustainable Community Development, the Atlantic Chapter of the Canada Green Building Council, Tatamagouche Community Land Trust and the Canadian Co-operative Association.
